Sorry it took so long my internet stopped working too haha, but heres my testimonial.
I have never written a testimonial for anything before but I feel Darren definitely deserves one.
I took my car to him for a new gearbox and clutch, my first impressions made me feel confident that my car was in safe, expert hands. He kept me informed throughout the whole process and did everything he could to keep costs down. I was amazed at how fast he had got the job done and at the overall cost which was less than half of what I had been quoted by some other garages!
To top that off he knew I had been having problems getting into 5th gear over the past few months without me mentioning anything, This just shows that he really does know what he's doing.
Not only is he fantastic with the mechanical side, he also provides world class customer service and is a great guy to talk too. Darren will be the first person I contact with any transmission problems in the future and I highly recommend him to anyone.

Daren can be relied upon to give honest advice and help, the price he quoted for changing the clutch in my Vectra was nearly £100 cheaper than any other local quotes and he delivered a suburb on time service, in fact I was not expecting the car back for another day yet so I was very pleased to get the call today saying the job had been completed.
It is a tough world out there to make a living and it's difficult to find honest, reliable and professional people who you can trust to do what they say, DJ Transmissions has proven to be all the above and I would recommend this company to anyone.

Sorry for the delay in mailing you this over to you for your website, been so busy lately haven’t had time at my computer to type this up.
I would firstly like to say that the service I received from Daren at DJ Transmissions was exceptional. At no point was anything too much trouble for him, he was accurate with his diagnosis, kept me informed with progress and was always professional. I was surprised that the job, even with fitting a new clutch, didn’t cost me any more than I was originally quoted for labour.
My van now drives better than it ever has.
I did return the van as requested for an inspection to confirm oil levels and that nothing had come lose and everything was fine again no further charges were incurred so all good.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Daren and his company to anyone that needed a reliable, honest and professional mechanic, I say mechanic because I know that he carries out general mechanical work on his regular client base which hopefully I can be included on now ?
My wife’s car is due for MOT in April and I’ve already got it booked in @ DJT

Thank you for your advice yesterday on the phone, when we talked through the problem of selector or gearbox problem with not being able to select any gears other than 5th gear.
Having decided to bring Astra over to you, I spoke to local garage to OK my collecting it etc. and he agreed then late in the afternoon to quickly have a look at the selectors. At first could not see a problem but then noticed couple of selectors stuck together, released them easily and road tested Ok.
You were correct with the cause of the problem and that it should be fixed economically. Both my daughter and I want to say thank you for your help, we now have your contact number and you will be top of the list in future should we have need of your skills.
Although Jenna is now pleased to get her car back with no big repair bill, we are both still thinking about this local garage who even though he fixed the problem, had only two days earlier told my daughter to find a second hand gearbox and even provided her with two breakers yard numbers to buy a gearbox ?
Could talk all day about these stories, thank you again.

Just thought I’d send you this email for your website.
I called DJ Transmissions after a family member recommended them and had said that I should speak to Daren regarding a fault gearbox on my Ford Ranger. Daren said he would pop over and have a look, he turned up at the time he said he would and tried the gearbox and after 5 minutes turned off the car and we had a lengthy discussion about what he thought was wrong. Daren left me with labour costs and some rough costs on parts but obviously until the gearbox was stripped down he couldn’t be accurate on diagnosis.
I had spoken to several other gearbox repair companies who had quoted astronomical prices in comparison to what I had been quoted by DJ Transmissions. Anyway I decided to have the gearbox removed and stripped so I knew where I stood with costs, so Daren recovered my vehicle on a Saturday morning, by Monday afternoon Daren called me with his findings and costs for repair. He also advised that the clutch needed changing and there would be no additional labour for fitting a full clutch that I supplied if I wished. By the Thursday DJ Transmissions called me and said the vehicle was ready, I called round that evening and collected the car.
I noticed that the 4 wheel drive light was not coming on when I selected it so I called Daren on the Friday, he said he knew what he had done and came out at 6pm to my house rolled under the car changed two wiring plugs around, hey presto job done.
I would highly recommend Daren and his business DJ Transmissions for being honest, professional and saving you money. In my case I saved over £200 and I got a new clutch fitted.
